Founder & Executive Director:Cindy Meyers Jurow, LCSW

After graduating from Yeshiva School of Social Work in 1981, Cindy M. Jurow earned a post-masters certificate in child and family work at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services (JBFCS). Early in her career, Cindy saw clearly that children who were referred to outpatient clinics, either didn't make it there at all or came for social services inconsistently. As a result, she resolved to bring quality counseling services to the children and their families in NYC public schools.

In 1986 she formed Counseling in Schools, a not-for-profit organization, which has flourished since its inception. For the past twenty-two years, Cindy's devotion has built an organization which prides itself on sound professional standards as well as constructive human relationships. Through connection and support, CSNN works to instill hope, resilience and permanent change. On these principles many children, families, and school personnel have been helped to reach their true potential.

In this capacity, Kevin continues to design and implement programs, while remaining fully focused on expanding the reach of CSNN social services to an increasing number of children and families.
